At Republic Polytechnic (RP), your achievements don’t go unnoticed. If you’ve got strong academic results, leadership skills or special talents, you’ll be recognised and rewarded.
As an RP student, you can look forward to a host of scholarships and awards offered in partnership with our sponsors.
Scholarships
Poly Foundation Programme (PFP) Scholarship
The PFP Scholarship is a bond-free award given to outstanding PFP students who have achieved great N-Level results and a strong CCA track record. Offered by RP, it’s designed to support and reward your potential so you can step confidently into your learning journey.
The PFP Scholarship is open for application to PFP students during the first semester of the academic year in April each year.
Eligibility
Singaporean or Singapore PR
N-Level ELMAB3 raw score of 8 or lower, and excellent CCA results
Good character and conduct
Not a recipient of other scholarships or sponsorships
Application process
Applications are by invitation only. If shortlisted, you’ll be invited for an interview with the Selection Panel.
Year 1 Scholarship
This bond-free scholarship is offered by RP to celebrate outstanding Year 1 students.
The Year 1 Scholarship is open for application to Year 1 students after the release of their first semester results in October each year.
Eligibility
Year 1
Excellent academic results
Good character and conduct
Active involvement in non-academic related activities (e.g. in CCAs, community projects, participation in competitions) and have shown leadership qualities
Not a recipient of any other scholarships or sponsorships
Application process
Applications are by invitation only. If shortlisted, you’ll be invited for an interview with the Selection Panel.
Higher Year Scholarships
Offered in partnership with industry sponsors, Higher Year Scholarships are awarded to students in Years 2 and 3 who have exhibited both academic strength and active involvement beyond the classroom.
Higher Year Scholarships are open for application after the release of the second semester results in April each year.
Eligibility
Diploma student who is progressing to Year 2 or Year 3
Excellent academic results
Active involvement in non-academic related activities (e.g. in CCAs, community projects, participation in competitions) and exhibit leadership qualities
Good character and conduct
Not a recipient of other scholarships or sponsorships
Fulfil other eligibility criteria set by the sponsor
Successful applicants may also be offered internship placements with the scholarship sponsor.

Applications are by invitation only. If shortlisted, you’ll be invited for an interview with the Selection Panel.
Awards
Edusave Awards
The Edusave Awards, funded by the Education Endowment Fund, are given out yearly by Ministry of Education (MOE) to recognise students who have achieved excellence in academic and non-academic areas.
Edusave Merit Bursary

Eligibility
Singapore Citizen
Full-time Diploma student or Polytechnic Foundation Programme* student
Top 25% of each level & course
GHI ≤ $9,000, or PCI# ≤ $2,250
Good conduct
(*) Polytechnic Foundation Programme – Top 25% of Science & Technology (S&T) courses and Top 25% of Non-S&T courses.
# PCI = Total Gross Monthly Household Income (GHI) ÷ Number of Family Members in the Household (including student)

Edusave Good Progress Award
The Edusave Good Progress Award is for students who have improved their academic performance. Find out more about Edusave Good Progress Award.
Eligibility
Singapore Citizen
Full-time Diploma student in the second or third year of study
Top 10% of each level & course, based on good progress (improvement)
Good conduct
Not a recipient of the Edusave Merit Bursary
Award Quantum
$400
Edusave Skills Award
The Edusave Skills Award (ESA) is for students who have shown strong professional and soft skills during their course of study. Find out more about Edusave Skills Award.
Eligibility
Singapore Citizen
Full-time Diploma student in the second or third year of study
Up to 5% (for Year 2) and 15% (for Year 3) of Singapore Citizens from each course
Nominated by the School
Good conduct
Based on the following:
Performance during internship and Final Year Projects
Participation in diploma-related industry exposure opportunities
Participation in skills-related service-learning projects
Achievements at diploma-related competitions and conferences
Award Quantum
$500
Note:
No application is needed. RP will nominate students based on merit and skills.

Besides RP scholarships, you can also apply for external scholarships. External scholarships are offered by a variety of sponsoring organisations, each with their own set of criteria and award amounts. The list of external scholarships is not limited to the scholarships below. The information from the sponsoring organisations may change from time to time.

This programme is for top-performing RP students who plan to further their studies at local universities and are looking to apply for scholarships from universities or other organisations. If you're eligible, you'll be invited to join the programme.
