Wong Sokwei: A Journey of Innovation and Sustainability

Wong Sokwei, an RP alumna, pursued a Diploma in Consumer Behaviour & Research (now known as Diploma in Consumer Insights & Psychology), earning the RP Higher-Year Scholarship twice.
Passionate about psychology and sustainability, she co-founded Suskin, The Sustainable Leather Co., which creates vegan leather from food waste. Sokwei’s success includes winning the Grand Prize Champion at Samsung’s Solve for Tomorrow competition.
With the skills gained from RP’s Diploma Plus in Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Sokwei grew her start-up, attracting attention from industry leaders. Beyond business, she volunteers with Youth Corps Singapore and the Women’s Integration Network Council, inspiring others with her journey.
Darcel Al Anthony – A Journey in Journalism and Storytelling

Darcel Al Anthony's time at RP was a journey of self-discovery and growth. As a student in the Diploma in in Mass Communication, she honed her storytelling skills and gained practical experience writing for prominent organisations like Singapore Airlines and Zalora. As Assistant Editor and Lifestyle Editor of The Republican Post, Darcel developed her leadership abilities, managing a team of writers and ensuring the quality of print and digital content.
Her dedication led to a mentorship with the Harvard Business School Club Singapore, guiding her toward a successful career in journalism. Now a Journalist with Channel NewsAsia after graduating with an honours degree from NUS, Darcel credits her time at RP for shaping her skills and helping her achieve her dreams.
Ella Siu: Inspiring Students Through Passionate Teaching and Community Engagement

Ms. Ella Siu’s passion for teaching and her dedication to student success earned her the 2019 President’s Award for Teachers, out of 3,886 nominees.
Ella’s approach to education is all about creating meaningful learning experiences that resonate with her students.
Known for her innovative methods, Ella developed a dynamic e-learning tool to help students navigate real-world accounting decisions. Her classroom is a place where no question goes unanswered, and students are encouraged to engage deeply with the material, creating an environment of collaboration and curiosity.
Ella’s commitment extends beyond academics. She spearheaded a community engagement project with SunLove Seniors Activity Centre, where students formed meaningful connections with elderly residents. The project, now run by her business students, continues to empower them to make a difference.
Natasha Faisal: Finding Her Voice in Media

Natasha Faisal’s journey in media began at RP, where she discovered her passion for engaging with audiences. A graduate from the Diploma in Communication and Information Design (now Diploma in Mass Communication), Natasha credits RP for sparking her creativity and sharpening her storytelling skills. “RP prepared me for the fast-paced world of media and helped me grow as a communicator,” she shares.
RP holds a special place in Natasha’s heart—it’s where she met her husband at Replug IG and built lasting friendships. “From jamming sessions to heart-to-heart talks, the relationships I’ve built at RP are truly priceless,” she says.
Her advice for RP students? “Be curious and adaptable. The media industry evolves quickly, so keep learning and stay open to new ideas. Build a strong portfolio, connect with industry professionals, and don’t be afraid to start small. Your passion and perseverance will set you apart.”

The Media Laboratory is where you’ll experience the fast-paced world of journalism, public relations and marketing communication. Set up like a real-life media agency and digital newsroom, this space gives you the tools and environment to create your own engaging publications, PR campaigns, and marketing communications collaterals.
Equipped with the latest multimedia technology, this lab prepares you to work on real-world projects, developing the skills you need to succeed as a media practitioner. It’s where creativity meets technology, and you could be next to shape the future of media.
Consumer Insights Lab

Step into the Consumer Insights Laboratory, where cutting-edge technology meets real-world research. This state-of-the-art facility allows you to conduct focus group studies and physiological research, giving you the tools to uncover the underlying factors that influence consumer behaviour. Collaborating with major industry players, you’ll gain hands-on experience with the latest research techniques.
With interactive systems that simulate virtual retail environments and advanced physiological testing tools, such as eye trackers, you’ll develop expertise in analysing consumer responses. The lab also features two fully equipped focus group rooms, offering you diverse settings to conduct qualitative research and gain valuable experience in the consumer insights industry.
People eXperience Lab

The People eXperience (PX) Lab is where HR management meets innovation. In this state-of-the-art facility, you’ll immerse yourself in real-world scenarios, working with the latest HR systems and collaborating with industry partners on new workplace solutions.
It’s a dynamic environment where you’ll learn to apply your HR knowledge and explore emerging concepts.
Technology plays a key role in the lab, providing a platform for you to observe and practice essential communication skills for HR and career counselling.
